B. V. Patel Pharmaceutical Education & Research Development Ahmedabad was started in October 1990 jointly by India Pharmaceutical Association and B.V. Patel Education Trust. This medical college is named in the memory of Shri B. V. Patel, the First Drug Controller of Gujarat State. The B. V. Patel PERD Centre is India's first postgraduate research institute, multidisciplinary, enthusiastic to the pursuit of brilliance in the pharmaceutical sciences.
