CUSAT 2016 Exam Dates | Application Form

CUSAT 2016 is popularly known as Cochin University of Science and Technology Entrance Exam. Cochin University offers various undergraduate courses of engineering through a common Entrance test known as CUSAT 2016 Entrance Exam. Applicants will be getting admission into B.E/ B.Tech Courses through this exam. Applicants interested can fill the application form which shall be available from January, 2016. CUSAT has at present 27 Departments of study and research, offering Graduate and Post Graduate programmes across a wide spectrum of disciplines in frontier areas of engineering, science, humanities, technology, law and management. Nearly 2,000 students engage yearly in undergraduate and postgraduate study at Cochin University. The University is positioned at Fifth rank in India in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities with a World Ranking of 1150.

Applicants are eligible for CUSAT 2016 examination only if they satisfy following condition:

• The Exam takers should have completed their Higher Education from Kerala University or from any other Recognized University to apply for the examination.


Advertisements
• Applicants must have taken & scored at least 50% in Mathematics and must have scored at least 50% in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry put all together.
• Applicants must also have an aggregate of 50% in class 10th and 12th in English.
• Diploma holder candidates are not eligible for B.Tech (Marine Engineering) course.

Step No 1 - Go to www.cusat.ac.in or www.cusat.nic.in

Step No 2 - Exam takers are required to fill properly their Name, Email ID, Mobile Number to get their username and password.

Step No 3 - Applicants need to login and fill their necessary personal, qualification and other details required as mentioned in the form.

Step No 4 - After filling up the form, applicants must upload their recent passport size color photograph and signature as mentioned in the form and submit it.

Step No 5 - After submission of form, applicants can make payment through online or offline mode.

Step No 6 - Applicants will get their Admit Card from the official website from 20th April, 2015 to 3rd May, 2015.

Application fees

• For General Category Rs 1000/- (Tentative)
• For SC/ST Category Rs 500/- (Tentative)
• Rs.6000/- for candidates who apply under NRI Quota
• Applicants opting for a test centre at Dubai should remit an additional amount of Rs.10, 000/-.
• Applicants can make payment online through Debit/Credit Card.
• Applicants can also make payment through Cash by using the chalan by selecting their bank first and then take a printout of the chalan form along with instruction page and make payment in the bank after 2 working days from the date of registration.

• Paper will be of objective type and multiple choice questions.
• The test will consist of 250 questions and the duration of the test will be of about 3 hours.
• Question would be asked from the 10th and the 12th syllabus.

• The score will be calculated as per the formula S= 3R-1W, where R stands for right answers and W stand for wrong answers.
• Applicant will get 3 marks for each correct answer and q mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
