AMUEEE 2017 Application Form, Exam Dates, Syllabus


AMUEEE 2017 is a University Level Common Entrance Examination. Its conducting body is Aligarh Muslim University. It is for admissions of engineering students into the two undergraduate Engineering courses – B.E. and B.Arch. However, there exists a third course as well – B.E. (Evening). The target institutions are the colleges that are affiliated to Aligarh Muslim University. The number of seat reservations for Chemical Engineering (KEBT) is 30, Electrical (EEBT) and Civil (CEBT) Engineering are 60, Computer (COBT) and Electronic (LEBT) Engineering are 50, Mechanical Engineering (MEBT) is 90, and Petrochemical Engineering (PKBT) is 25. Therefore, a totality of 365 seat reservations are available for the Engineering students who are eligible for the Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Exam.

AMUEEE 2017 examination is generally conducted in the month of May and the answer key is released on the same day. After the issue of results, the applicants are admitted into the desired courses through counselling.

AMUEEE 2017 Application Form


  • The AMUEEE 2017 application form can be filled online alone. Please visit their official website: www.amu.ac.in. the applicants require to register themselves here. Hereby, the link “Apply Online” needs to be clicked to be directed towards the AMUEEE 2017 application form.

  • The Application Form has to be duly filled, with authentic details. Details regarding the applicants’ individuality, prior education and contacts will be asked. The mandatory fields need to be filled at any cost. On completion of the Application Form, the “Submit” button needs to be pressed to complete the application procedure. The Application Form will be generated, and made available for printing. A printout must be taken for future correspondences.
  • The Application Fee is INR 500/- per applicant. The applicants are required to put a Demand Draft addressed to ‘Finance Office, AMU, Aligarh’, payable at Aligarh. Otherwise, they may directly pay the fee in cash to the finance office of Aligarh Muslim University.

AMUEEE 2017 Eligibility Criteria


  • For B. Tech. courses (inclusive of the courses mentioned above), the applicants must have passed the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of Aligarh Muslim University or an equivalent 10+2 Examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Else, the applicants may possess a Diploma in Engineering of AMU. There too, the minimum percentile requirement is 50%.
  • For B. E. (Evening), the applicants must possess a Diploma in Engineering in the corresponding branch of study or an examination recognized by the University as its equivalent with 50% marks. Also, the applicants professionally employed outside the country must submit their Experience Certificate, which needs to be attested by the concerned Consulate.
  • Those applicants who possess Professional Experience of Government / Semi-Government / Public Sector Undertakings post their Diplomas in Engineering will be furthermore granted 2.5 marks for each year of professional experience provided that they have a maximum of 25 marks.

AMUEEE 2017 Exam Pattern


  • The AMUEEE 2017 paper patterns for the B.Tech Course and the B.E. (Evening) Course are different.
  • B.Tech. applicants need to appear for only Paper I, which asks multiple choice questions on Physics, Chemistry and Maths. A totality of 150 questions is asked, where 50 questions each subject are asked. Each correct answer is awarded 1 mark. The duration of the examination is 180 minutes.
  • B.E. (Evening) applicants will have to appear for a hundred mark paper, comprising of 100 questions. 25 questions will be asked on Physical Sciences and 75 of them will be asked on corresponding Engineering Sciences.
