PTU CET 2017 (Punjab Technical University Common Entrance Test) is an entrance exam which is conducted every year by the Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar to grant aspiring applicants admission in diverse medical institutions and universities which provide courses like MD/ MS/ MDS in private and government colleges. PTU CET 2017 is a state level medical entrance examination.

To be eligible for PTU CET 2017 applicants need to fulfill the following conditions:

• Applicants should have12th class or its equivalent examination with Chemistry & Physics as the main subject & Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science as their optional subject.

• Applicants need to complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2016.

The syllabus for PTU CET 2017 will be that of HSC level. The syllabus includes:

• Physics
• Chemistry
• Biology
• Bio technology
• Computer science

• 60 questions will be asked in each paper.
• The time duration for each paper will be 70 minutes.
• Each correct answer will consist of 2 marks.
• Negative marking is applicable.
• Each wrong answer will take away 0.25 marks.
