TNEA 2016 - Application Form, Exam Dates
The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA 2016) is conducted by Anna University for Admission of candidates to various Engineering Colleges in the state. There is no entrance exam for the TNEA admissions and the shortlisting of the candidates will be solely based on their performance in 10+2 or as per the guidelines prescribed under TNEA Counselling process.

TNEA 2016 Eligibility Criteria
Those candidates who are interested should ensure that they have cleared 10+2 securing a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects. The marks obtained in Class XI and XII will be the basis for the shortlisting and seat allotment of candidates.
TNEA 2016 Selection Procedure
The selection procedure for TNEA takes into account these certain factors:
- Community-wise Categorization
- Percentage of marks in Mathematics and Physics in 12th Class
- Percentage of marks in the 4th optional subject
- Date of Birth
TNEA 2016 Application Form - Registration
The TNEA 2016 application form is usually notified by the Anna University via online and offline during the month of May via the application portal of the University by registering themselves. The applicants can also avail of the forms via the designated centers of Anna University. The students can also request for the application forms via post at the examination center of Anna University.

TNEA 2016 Application fees
Via online mode:
Candidates who apply for the forms online have to pay 500/- INR for general category and 250/- INR for SC/ST/OB candidates.
Via Offline Mode:
Candidates who make avail of the application form via offline mode have to pay 700/- INR for general category and 450/- INR for SC/ST/OB candidates.
Submission of Application form:
Candidates can submit the application forms in 3 modes as follows:
Online: The candidates can visit the official website of the University and register themselves with the application portal afterwhich an application form will show up which the candidates have to fill with all valid details including the details of Bank DD. After the form is duly filled the students have to take a printout and send it to the address given below with the DD and the required documents.
Offline: The candidates can visit the nearest affiliated and designated center of Anna University and make avail of the application form on the payment of application fee in cash and fill in all the details on the form and mail it to the following address along with the required documents.
Via post:
The candidates can also request for the application form via post by sending a letter enclosed with the DD of the application fee, self-addressed stamped envelope and a copy of the permanent community card to the address below. After filling in the application form the candidates have to send it to the address below with the necessary documents.
