For Indian Nationals
Common to AIIMS New Delhi and 6 AIIMS like Institutions
Age: The applicants must attain or will attain the age of 17 years as on the 31st of December of the year of admission (Applicants born on or after 2nd Jan, 1996 are Not qualified to apply.).
Essential: The applicants should have passed the 12th Grade under the 10 + 2 Scheme/ Intermediate Science (I. Sc.) or Senior qualifications School Certificate Examination or a corresponding examination of a recognized University/ Board of any State in Indian with Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology.
Minimum: The applicants should have got a minimum of 60% marks in the case of Aggregate General & OBC and 50% in case of SC/ ST candidates in aggregate in English, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
For Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
Common to AIIMS New Delhi & SIX AIIMS like Institutions OCI recorded under Section 7a of Citizenship Act 1955 are also qualified to seem in this AIIMS test and all terms and conditions valid for Indian Nationals given in this Brochure will be applicable to them. The applicant will submit proof of Registration as OCI under Section 7a of Citizenship Act 1955 to be eligible to appear to this test.
For Foreign Nationals
For AIIMS New Delhi only Foreign candidate designated by the Government of India are required to have got a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination to be eligible for admission to the M.B.B.S. Course. Foreign applicants are not required to seem at the Competitive Entrance Examination.
Following is paper pattern for AIIMS MBBS Exam 2014
The AIIMS 2014 is a Competitive Medical MBBS Entrance Exam that will be 3 and a half hours long, comprising of 200 objective, multiple choice and reason-assertion type questions from Biology, Physics, Chemistry and General Knowledge. The distribution of the questions is as follows:

- Improper answers will be given negative marking.
- Each correct response will get a score of +1 mark
- Each incorrect response will get a score of -1/3 (less one-third).
- No credit will be given for the questions not responded. More than one answer will be treated as incorrect answer and negatively noticeable.
