Goa CET 2017 - Exam Dates, Application Form
GCET or Goa CET 2017 is a state level examination conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). The entrance test is done online and in English only. GCET is conducted for admissions to the first year of Professional Degree courses of Medical (MBBS), Engineering, Architecture, Technology and Homeopathy in the State of Goa. The application form shall be available from March 2017. There are a total of 1292 B.E seats available in the engineering colleges of Goa.

Applicants are eligible for Goa CET 2017 examination only if they satisfy following condition:
Step No. 1 - Go to www.dtegoa.gov.in
Step No. 2 - Applicants must read all the information carefully and fill in ncessary details as mentioned in the form.
Step No. 3 - The applicant is required to print the application form and submit the Application Form (A) for GCET-15 in person at the notified Application Reception Centre as per centre opted, along with a DD of Rs.1500/- payable in favour of “Director of Technical Education” at Panaji, and three identical photographs as indicated, and obtain the Photo-Admit Card, from the Admission Committee, on the same day.
Step No. 4 - Forms shall be accepted with additional Late Fee of Rs.1000/- till scheduled date 30th April 2015.

GCET 2017 Application Fees
Candidates are required to pay an Application Fee of Rs 1500. Demand Draft: The GCET 2015 Application Fee has to be paid via demand draft drawn in favour of “Director of Technical Education” at Panaji – Goa, on any Scheduled Bank.
The candidate must have appeared and obtained valid score at the Goa Common Entrance Test GCET 2016 conducted by Government of Goa for the year of admission. Applicant must have at least GCET score of 50% (40% in case of SC/ ST/ OBC and 45% for applicants belonging to PH category) for Medicine and Dentistry Degree courses

Directorate of Technical Education is also authorized to process admissions for following seat:
- Direct admissions to Second Year of Degree courses for Diploma and B. Sc. Degree holders.
- Diploma programmes in the Polytechnics in Goa.

Goa CET 2017 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants are eligible for Goa CET 2017 examination only if they satisfy following condition:
- Applicants must have passed Higher Secondary Education with at least 45% of aggregate for in case of general category and 40% in case of SC/ST or its equivalent from Goa Board or from a standard University.
- Applicants should have studied Physics, English and Mathematics as the main subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Biology as one of the optional subjects.
- Applicant must be at least of 17 years on or before 31st December 2015 for Dentistry, Medicine and Homeopathy degree courses.
- GCET score of the previous years shall not be valid for Medicine and Dentistry Degree courses.
- Applicant GCET score must be atleast should be 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC and 45% for applicants belonging to PH category) aggregate in specified subjects.
- Applicant for Degree Course in Architecture must have appeared and obtained valid score at NATA conducted by Council of Architecture.

Goa CET 2017 Exam Pattern
- The Exam will be of multiple choice questions with a total of 75 questions.
- The time for the examination will be of 2 hours.
- Applicant will get 1 mark for each correct answer and negative marking are not applicable for these examination.
