IPU CET 2015-2016 B.Tech Exam Dates | Application Form

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi (GGS) conducts a common entrance test for the known as IPU CET 2015-2016 for the admission of aspirants in various engineering courses. IPU CET is an offline exam, which will be held on 16th May, 2015. Applicants who are interested can fill the application form till 7th April, 2015. IPU CET is a national level examination and it is the first University established by the Government of NCT of Delhi in the name Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in 1998. Apart from conducting Common Entrance Test for admissions to various programmes of the University, the Examination Branch also conducts ‘End Semester' Examination for various programmes being run in the University Schools of Studies and the Self Financing Affiliated Colleges.

Applicants are eligible for IPU CET examination only if they satisfy following condition:

• Applicant must be passed in Higher Secondary Examination or any equivalent examination and from a recognized university.
• Applicant must pass with at least 55% of aggregate in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) and English as a compulsory as a subject.
• Applicants those who are appearing for the Higher Secondary Examination are also eligible for the examination if they satisfy all the conditions.
• The age of applicant should not be more than 21 years. The maximum upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in exceptional cases by the Admission Officer of the concerned program if he/she is satisfied with the merit of the case.

Applicants can fill the application form both online and offline mode.

For Online:

Step No. 1 - Go to www.ipu.ac.in

Step No. 2 - Applicants are required to fill the personal, qualification and other details as mentioned in the form.


Step No. 3 - Applicants will receive a login ID and Password.

Step No. 4 - Applicants are required to upload their recent photograph of size (30 mm x 45mm) and signature of size (80mm x 35mm) less than 80 kb.

Step No. 5 - After completion of form applicant need to make the payment.

Step No. 6 - Applicants need to make printout of the application for further reference.

For offline:

Step No. 1 - Applicants can receive their application form from speed post.
Step No. 2 - Applicants need to send a request letter to Joint Registrar (Admissions), Administrative Block, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sector-16C, Dwarka, New Delhi-110078 along with the following:

1. Applicants need to make DD in favor of Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, payable at Delhi.
2. A Demand Draft drawn in favor of Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, payable at Delhi.
3. Applicant should properly mention their name, address and phone number on the back side of the DD/Pay Order.

Application Fees:

• To Complete the application process successfully application need to pay a fee of Rs 750/-
• Applicants can pay the fee online by Debit/Credit Card and offline by DD drawn in favor of Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, payable at Delhi. The name, address and phone number of the applicant should be clearly mentioned on the back side of the Demand Draft/Pay Order.

Reservation of Seats:

For Delhi Region Candidates, 85% seats are reserved i.e. those who have passed the qualifying examination from any school/ Institute located in Delhi or from any College/ Institute affiliated to GGSIP University. These seats will be filled up through the merit /rank list of the CET- 2014 prepared for Delhi Region candidates.

15% seats are reserved for Outside Delhi Region Candidates.

• The Exam will be 150 multiple choice questions of 600 marks.
• The period for the examination will be 2.5 hours.
• The Medium of test will be in English only.
• Question will be asked from 11th and 12th syllabus based on PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.

• Applicant one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer and will receive 4 marks for each correct answer.
• Applicant should bring a black ball point pen to the Examination Hall for writing/marking responses on OMR answer sheet.
