LPUNEST 2016 Application Form | Exam Dates
LPUNEST 2016 - Lovely Professional University National Eligibility and Scholarship Test is an entrance examination conducted by Lovely Professional University. LPU offers course of numerous disciplines, among which Engineering is a prominent one. 4 programs of B.Tech. are offered - B.Tech (4 years), B.Tech (Hons.) (4 years), Integrated B.Tech – M.Tech (5 Years) and Integrated B.Tech – MBA (5 Years).
LPU also offers courses for Streams or Majors in Engineering. The courses offered under this scheme are Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Mechanical Engineering (ME), ME (Mechatronics), Civil Engineering (CE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Biotechnology (BT), BT (Food Process Engg.) and Automobile Engineering (AE).Further, LPU offers Specialisations in the abovementioned Streams. Students studying in the 3rd or the 4th year may select 3-4 specialisation topics. Specialisation in a particular topic would lend the students deeper insight into their fields of interest.
LPUNEST 2016 is conducted in the online mode. The examination lasts for 2 hours and it asks 90 questions. Depending upon the field of Engineering, one may appear for PCB or PCM. The four sections of the paper – Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, ask 30 questions each. The questions are asked in the format of Multiple Choice Questions.
Note: Above mentioned dates are tentative, they are subject to change. We will update changes if any. Also Phase II and Phase III of the test will be available only if the seats remain vacant in LPU.

LPUNEST 2016 Application Form
- Application for LPUNEST 2016 can be made via two procedures. One may or may not buy the LPUNEST KIT for application. The applicant may obtain the kit from LPU Campus / Camp Offices. It can be received by paying the required amount via cash or a Demand Draft. The DD must be drawn in favour of “Lovely Professional University”, payable at Jalandhar.
- The LPUNEST 2016 Application Form received via the Kit can be filled in the offline as well as the online mode. It has to be filled accordingly and sent in the envelope found within the kit. The envelope contains the postal address. For the online mode, the applicant must visit nest.lpu.in/engineering/after_purchasing.php. There, s/he will find the link for the Application Form. For payment, please selectthe option for unique OMR code, which can be found on the OMR sheet. The filled Form must be submitted and saved for future correspondences.
- Without the LPUNEST KIT too, the Application Form can be filled online and offline. The Form can be filled online. A printout of it can be taken and sent along with a DD of INR 300/-. The address is Division of Admissions(LPUNEST-2016) Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar- Delhi G.T. Road(NH-1), Phagwara, Punjab (India)-14441. For an online application, the Form can be submitted online and the payment can be made via Credit / Debit Card or Net Banking.

LPUNEST 2016 Eligibility Criteria
- Only Indian citizens are allowed to apply for LPUNEST 2016. For the B.Tech courses, they must have pursued their 10+ 2 from any recognized University / Board. They must have also secured a minimum of 70% aggregate marks in the 12th grade. The subjects studied must have been Physics, Mathematics and English.
- The applicants who have secured 60% - 70% in the 12th grade and also secured a legitimate score in JEE (Main) are also eligible for B.Tech at LPU.
- For the Integrated programs, the applicants are required to meet the same conditions, but the 70% is raised to 80%.
