Punjab Engineering Admission 2016 - Application Form
Punjab Engineering Admission 2016 is a State Level Examination for Engineering students who want admission into the institutes of Punjab. The examination is conducted by Punjab Technical University. According to the notification by the Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training, it is necessary for all engineering students to have appeared for JEE (Main). Thus, JEE (Main) becomes the eligibility factor for those students who want to pursue Engineering in Punjab. Appearing in JEE (Main) and applying for Punjab Engineering Admission have to occur in the same year.
All the private, deemed, Government, Government-aided and self-financing colleges in the state of Punjab are the participating institutes of Punjab Engineering University. Those institutes affiliated to either Punjab Technical University or Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar or Punjabi University, Patiala or College of Agricultural Engg. & Tech. of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana are also the participating institutes.

Punjab Engineering Admission 2016 Application Form
- The application for Punjab Engineering Admission must happen online alone. The applicants must visit their official website for the Application Form: ptuadmissions.nic.in.
- They need to login using their corresponding JEE (Main) Roll Number. The Application Fee is INR 2000/-. It can be paid online through Debit / Credit Card or Net Banking. Else, applicants can pay via the E-Challan in the banks HDFC, Axis, SBOP or IDBI.

Punjab Engineering Admission 2016 Eligibility Criteria
The applicants have to abide by certain eligibility criteria to seek admission into Engineering through Punjab Admission. They must have passed their 10+2 Examination from the Punjab State Board or an equivalent recognized board, with a minimum of 50% in aggregate. Their subjects must have been Physics and Mathematics (as the compulsory subjects) and Chemistry or Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology (as the optional subjects).- They must have compulsorily appeared for JEE (Main) in that year.Applicants who have passed an Engineering diploma from Punjab State Board of Technical Education or SLIET are also eligible for Punjab Admission. Those who have passed a two-year certificate course from SLIET are also eligible.
Punjab Engineering Admission 2016 Exam Pattern
- There is no individual examination for Punjab Engineering Admission. The scores of JEE (Main) of the corresponding year will be considered for admission into the Engineering courses in Punjab.
- 60% weightage will be given to the JEE (Main) scoreand 40% to the 12th grade results. 85% of the seats are reserved for the domicile students, while 15% are for the students from the states other than Punjab.
