CIPET JEE 2016 Application Form


  • The CIPET JEE 2016 Application form can be obtained from any of the CIPET Centres against a payment of iNR 250/- for general candidates and INR 50/- for SC/ST applicants in cash or Demand Draft drawn in favour of “CIPET”, payable at Chennai. Applicants belonging to the North-Eastern states can get the Application Formsfree of cost byproducingtheirresidentialproof/appropriatesupportdocuments.

  • The submission of the filled-in Application Forms has to be done at CIPET Head Office.

CIPET JEE 2016 Eligibility Criteria


  • Due to the large variety of the UG and PG programs, the eligibility criteria for every course is different.
  • To apply for B.Tech. or B.E., the upper age limit of the applicants has to be 21 years. They must have passed their 10+2 Examination from any Board / University recognized by CIPET. Their subjects must have been Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • For M.E. / M.Tech. in Plastics Engineering, a B.E. / B.Tech./ B.Sc. Engineering for 4 years in Mechanical / Chemical / Production / Polymer / Plastics Engineering / Technology is necessary. Or, an M.Sc. degree in Polymer Science / Chemistry with Polymer specialization would also be eligible.

CIPET JEE 2016 Exam Paper


  • The question paper comprises of two parts – the Preliminary Exam and the Main Exam.
  • The duration of the Preliminary Exam is 3 hours with Multiple Choice Questions on the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • The duration of the Main Exam is 2 hours with advanced Multiple Choice Questions on the same subjects.

The selection procedure for the CIPET programs will be based on the academic record and performance in the Joint Entrance Examination. The selection procedure for the postgraduate programs will be carried on through the respective affiliating University norms or through CIPET JEE. That for the undergraduate programs will be carried on through the respective affiliating University in accordance with their norms. For admission into these courses, the applicants would be required to contact the corresponding universities.

CIPET Diploma, Post Diploma & Postgraduate Diploma students are eligible for various scholarship offered by the different state and central governments. CIPET assistsin obtaining the scholarship as per the standards of the agencies.
