NMAT UG 2016 - NMAT Management Aptitude Test Undergraduate is conducted by NMIMS. This examination conducted by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies is for admission of applicants into Engineering. NMAT Engineering is being conducted for 4 year B Tech Engineering Course.
NMIMS was founded in the year 1981 in Mumbai. Its founding body is Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal, which has founded several other institutions located in the Vile Parle area of Mumbai. The other campuses of NMIMS are located in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Shirpur. NMIMS, Mumbai, has been rated five stars by UGC (It is also a UGC “Deemed University”) and graded A by NAAC. The ISO 9001:2000 Certificate has also been bestowed upon NMIMS by ICL in the year 2004 and an "A***" rating by CRISIL.
NMIMS offers courses in various disciplines, for instance Management, Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture, Pharmacy, Commerce and Economics. However in this article, Engineering alone will be discussed.
Since NMAT is an Aptitude Test, its sections comprise of Proficiency in English Language, Quantitative and Numerical test and Reasoning and General Intelligence. Each section asks 50 questions. They are all Multiple Choice Questions.

NMAT UG 2016 Application Form
- The NMAT UG 2016 application procedure has to be done completely online. Please visit its official website www.nmat.org. The Application Form will be found on that website. It has to be filled with authentic details. Basic details like ones individuality, contacts, and previous educations will be asked. A signature and a photograph will also be required to be uploaded. After the Form is filled, it has to be submitted.
- The Registration Fee has to be submitted along with the Application Form. The Fees vary with the type of option one selects. It is INR 1800/- for one school course, INR 3000/- for all the courses of two separate schools, INR 4000/- for all the courses of three separate schools and INR 5000/- for all the courses of four separate schools. It can be paid online via Credit / Debit Card or Net Banking.
- A hard copy is advised to be retained by the applicant in case of future usage.

NMAT UG 2016 Eligibility Criteria
Indian Nationals may apply for NMIMS’ NMAT. They have had to have cleared their 12th grades or any equivalent examinations from a well-known University / Board. It is to be noted that even IB Diplomas are accepted as 10+2. The minimum required aggregate is 50% (in PCM combined) in the 12th grade. The subjects studied must have been Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. However for the Shirpur applicants, the minimum required aggregate is 45%.
