IIIT Delhi 2016 B.Tech Admissions - Indrapastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi was started in the year 2008. The batch consisted of 60 students of B.Tech. Currently, IIIT Delhi runs 40 excellent faculty fellows focusing on the varying areas of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Electronics &Communication Engineering (ECE). There are over 900 students, 650 among whom are pursuing B.Tech and 200 pursuing M.Tech.
The primary objectives of IIT Delhi’s B.Tech. programs are to prepare its students to commence upon challenging careers that are concerned with innovation and problem solving with the help of IT, or to opt for progressive studies, especially research and academic careers. Their aim is to assimilate the two streams of IT to a communal advantage. IIIT Delhi essentially trusts that their technological period is opulent with openings for those who produce new applications based on prevailing technology, apart from the progression of engineering knowledge. The curricular structure of IIIT Delhi suits this belief system.

IIIT Delhi 2016 B.Tech Admissions - Application Form
- The Application procedure for IIIT Delhi is completely online. Applicants must visit the website: www.iiitd.ac.in.If any changes are incorporated, they will be posted on the IIITD website.
- 12 Seats are reserved as supernumerary for Foreign Nationals. Their admission will be through DASA. Their admission, eligibility and fee will be as per guidelines of DASA.

IIIT Delhi 2016 B.Tech Admissions Eligibility Criteria
All applicants for IIIT Delhi must be less than 25 years of age.- Admission of the applicants will be based on the total marks obtained in Paper 1 of JEE Main and result of the 12th grade. 60% and 40% weightage will be given to these Examinations respectively. 10 bonus marks will be given to applicants eligible for Olympiads, Procon Junior programming contest, National Talent Search scholarship, KVPY, Sports and Culture.
IIIT Delhi 2016 B.Tech Admissions Pattern
- IIIT Delhi conducts no real examination for the admission. The Merit list will be prepared according to the total marks obtained in Paper I in JEE Main, converted to base of 60, the normalized score in the 12th grade, converted to base of 40, and bonus marks (if applicable).
- In case of a tie, the applicant with a higher rank in JEE Main shall be ranked higher. If the tie remains, the applicant older in age shall be ranked higher.
