JMI EEE 2016 - Jamia Millia Islamia Engineering Entrance Examination is an entrance examination conducted by Jamia Millia Islamia. The University was founded in the year 1920 by a team of Nationalist Muslim intelligentsia. That was the year of anti-colonial activism and pr0-independence movement. Jamia was first located at Aligarh. Later, it was moved to Delhi. Currently, the University is an A-grade Central University that is accredited by NAAC. It is a collaboration of schooling, UG and PG education. It offers courses of a wide range, such as, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Engineering, Technology, Education, Humanities, Languages, Architecture, Fine Arts, Law and Dentistry. However in this article, focus will be laid on the Engineering courses alone.
By law in 2006, Jamia has been declared a Minority Educational Institution. 30% of the total number of seats are reserved for the Muslim aspirants. 10% of the total numbers of seats are reserved for Muslim Women aspirants.10% of the total number of seats are reserved for the Muslim Other Backward Classes and Scheduled Tribes.
The JMI EEE question paper for B.Tech. consists of 3 sections – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 55, 55 and 60 questions will be asked per section respectively. The examination is of 3 hours. Negative markings are applicable, but the exact negation is uncertain.

JMI EEE 2016 Application Form
- The JMI EEE 2016 registration has to be done online. Please find the online Application Form at jmi.ac.in/onlineadmissionform or www.onlinesubmit.in/jmiadmission2015.
- After the Application Form is filled and submitted, the applicant will receive an email delivering his/her Unique Registration Number and Password. These details have to be used to login for the completion of the application process, that is, to make the payment.
- An online payment can be paid via Credit / Debit Card or Net Banking. The Challan may also be used at Indian Bank or the Bank of India. The Entrance Application Fee is INR 700/- for the Open category and INR 500/- for the privileged categories.

JMI EEE 2016 Eligibility Criteria
For admission into the branches of Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, the applicants must have cleared their 12th grades with the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The minimum aggregate scored must have been 55%. It must have also been cleared from a well-known University / Board.- A Diploma in Engineering of the duration 3 – 4 years, which is recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education, is also permissible. There too, the minimum marks must have been 55%.
- The lower age limit of these applicants is 17 years.
