AFMC PMT 2017 Exam Details - Armed Forces Medical College is a leading Medical Institute of India, recognized as an excellent hub for education and research. AFMC delivers training to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students with guaranteed career visions in the defence services. The Institute was established on 1^st May 1948 by an Act of the Parliament of India, on the endorsements of the BC Roy Committee. It was formed due to a merger of several defence medical organizations. The "Graduate Wing" of AFMC was established nearly 20 years later, to deliver a steady admission of medical officers for the Indian Armed Forces. The Institute is currently affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and is acknowledged by the MCI for conducting undergraduate and various post graduate medical courses.

AFMC conducts admission for various courses, among which MBBS will be discussed about, in this article. The duration of the MBBS course is four and a half years followed by an internship of one year.

• The AFMC PMT 2016 Application Fee is INR 250/-. It can be paid through an SBI Bank Challan.

AFMC PMT 2017 Eligibility Criteria

The applicants of AFMC PMT 2017 are restricted with a lower limit of 17 years of age and an upper limit of 22 years of age. They must have cleared their 10+2 Examinations from any recognized Board / University. The subjects studied must have been English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The minimum aggregate scored must be 60%, all the subjects combined. However, individual subject marks must have been 50%.

AFMC PMT 2017 Exam Pattern

There is no separate examination for AFMC PMT, as its admissions are based on AIPMT scores. A merit list will be displayed for the AFMC admissions. Henceforth, the applicants will be called for a test called ToELR, which refers to the Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning. Also, an interview will be taken of the applicants.
