AIPGDEE 2017 - Application Form, Exam Dates
AIPGDEE 2017 - All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Examination, as is clear from its name, is a National Level Entrance Examination. It is conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for admission into the MDS (Dental) course. AIIMS had been established as an institution of nationwide reputation by an Act of Parliament. Its object was to develop forms of teaching in Medical Education at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels, in all its departments. The sole purpose was to demonstrate a high level of Medical Education in India.
The postgraduate courses AIIMS conducts is M.D. or M.S. and M.D.S. This article is concerned with MDS, as AIPGDEE is for admission into this very particular course. AIPGDEE 2016 is an umbrella examination for all students of Dentistry, as this is the only key to studying this discipline in our country.
For pursuing the MDS course, the applicants must have compulsorily completed their BDS courses. The required internship (rotatory) must also have been completed, and that too, from a recognized hospital.

AIPGDEE 2017 Application Form
- Application for AIPGDEE 2017 can happen only online. Please visit www.aiimsexams.org for the Application Form. Basic details like the applicants’ individual details, contact details and prior education details have to be filled.
- The Application Fee for the General and OBC categories is INR 1000/- and for the SC / ST categories is INR 800. The PwD category is not needed to pay any Application Fee. The Fee can be paid online via Credit / Debit card or Net Banking. If the offline mode is opted, the Challan has to be deposited from any SBI Bank branch.
- The Admit Card has to be downloaded from the same website whenever it will be available for downloading.

AIPGDEE 2017 Eligibility Criteria
For pursuing the MDS course, the applicants must have compulsorily completed their BDS courses. The required internship (rotatory) must also have been completed, and that too, from a recognized hospital.AIPGDEE 2017 Exam Pattern
- The AIPGDEE exam will be lasting for 3 hours, and asking 200 questions. It is an objective type question. Every correct answer will be rewarded 4 marks and the incorrect ones will fetch (-1) mark each. The syllabus will roughly comprise of the BDS syllabus.
- The Examination will be followed by a merit list and counselling.
- The syllabus for the All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Exam for admission to the MDS courses shall be that of BDS standard and shall cover all the subjects/syllabus taught during the BDS course as prescribed in the DCI Revised BDS Course Regulations, 2007 as amended from time to time.
